Yung Miami described the end of City Girls as one of three major breakups she has gone through over roughly the past two years. Complex reported October 27 that she discussed the group’s split on the October 25 episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game, alongside the end of a relationship and her departure from Quality Control Music. She said the losses arriving together left her feeling suddenly on her own.

A new interview revisits the friendship behind “Dear JT”—without announcing a reunion.

She connected that period to “Dear JT,” a song on her debut solo album Watch Dis, saying she wanted to put the friendship and its good memories into the record. Universal Music Canada listed Watch Dis as out October 23 and identified “Dear JT” as its focus track. The reflection is Miami’s account of the split; it does not speak for JT.

This is separate from Miami’s earlier Complex interview, where she answered “Inshallah” when asked about recording with JT again. One conversation looks back at the hurt; the other leaves open a possibility. Neither report announces a reunion, a session or a joint release.
