Drake calls Jeff Ross his “f*cking general” after Houston roast
The comedian posted a Tuesday-night photo from the surprise birthday event, three days after Drake turned 40.

A surprise birthday roast for Drake took place in Houston on Tuesday night. Complex reported October 28 that Jeff Ross shared a photo of himself with the rapper, captioning it as Drake enjoying the event. Drake reposted the image and called Ross “the fucking general.”

Drake turned 40 on October 24, three days before the Houston event. Complex connects the party to Drake’s earlier wish to be roasted by Jim Carrey, but its report does not say Carrey joined the evening. The post’s confirmed moment is Ross and Drake together.
The roast follows two separate New York celebrations: Complex reported a Backstreet Boys singalong at Casa Cipriani on October 23 and a Bow Wow tribute the next night. Those events add context to Drake’s birthday stretch but were not part of the Houston night.
