Chance the Rapper floats dropping “Chance” to become just The Rapper
He raised it on Tea Time with Raven-Symoné and Miranda Maday, in the middle of his Coloring Book 10th-anniversary run.
Chance the Rapper might be shortening his name. On the October 1 episode of Tea Time with Raven-Symoné and Miranda Maday, he said, “I’m gonna take off the ‘Chance,’ I just wanna be The Rapper,” according to XXL’s write-up of the conversation.
Nothing official yet
For now it is an idea, not a rebrand. The show’s own description calls it a name he has been toying with, and his channel and releases still carry Chance the Rapper.
The talk landed during his celebration of Coloring Book’s 10th anniversary. On September 29 he announced a GOLD Coloring Book deluxe for Thursday, October 1, with three exclusive acoustic recordings.
