Shaboozey brought Gunna out for “High Noon” at the September 27 VMAs in Los Angeles, following a performance of “Cowgirl.” It was Shaboozey’s debut on the awards-show stage, according to TheGrio.
A saloon set, then Gunna’s entrance
The set leaned into the Western theme: Shaboozey opened inside a saloon as performers played cards, danced and staged a bar fight. He then headed outside, where Gunna emerged from a black carriage for their collaboration. Both artists wore brown leather and trench coats, and the performance ended with the saloon in flames.
Shaboozey also picked up nominations for Best Country and Best Cinematography for “Cowgirl.” Ciara Miller, who appeared in the song’s video, introduced his VMAs performance.
