Wisin turned his new album into a university, and the faculty includes Ivy Queen, Don Chezina and Jowell & Randy. La Universidad del Perreo opens with “Profesor Sandunga,” his welcome to a 12-track project built around reggaetón’s Puerto Rican underground roots.

The guest lecturers came prepared

Ivy Queen joins “Hasta Abajo,” Don Chezina appears on “Rewind Selecta,” and Jowell & Randy take “Bounce.” The younger guests have their own classes: Kapo teams with Wisin on “Muévelo Pa’ Mí,” while El Bogueto joins “Mi Baby.” Franco “El Gorila,” Trébol Clan, Jory Boy and Juanka El Problematik also feature.

The school theme extends beyond track names. Sony Music Spain describes an online community with courses and experiences attached to the project. For the music itself, the album is already available: Apple Music’s U.S. listing gives September 3, while Sony’s Spanish announcement lists September 4 as its release date.
