Statik Selektah’s new single “Champagne Wishes” puts Ab-Soul, Raekwon and Freddie Gibbs on the same 5:39 track. Apple Music lists it as released October 16 and credits all four artists. Three distinct solo catalogs meet on a new record from the Boston producer.
A new posse cut for the album rollout
The track previews Expensive Taste, which Apple Music lists at 21 songs and a November 6 release through Mass Appeal. Statik’s artist-linked pre-save page is live alongside the album listing.
The Source reports that Statik said Ab-Soul shaped the hook after hearing the song’s theme. The publication identifies “The Louvre,” featuring Joey Bada$$, Westside Gunn, Stove God Cooks and Rome Streetz, as an earlier preview from the album.
