Spotify announced an AI Persona badge for artist profiles whose public identity may be AI-generated rather than a real person. The company says artists can disclose this themselves, and Spotify can also review profiles and provide an appeal path.
Identity and process are separate questions
The badge is about the identity attached to a profile, not whether AI was used to make a track. Spotify separates those questions from AI Credits and SongDNA, which surface information about a recording’s creation and contributors.
