Quavo brings back the original “Hotel Lobby” amid AI remixes
Fan edits gave the song some unlikely duos. Quavo pointed back to Takeoff.
“Hotel Lobby” picked up some unlikely replacement performers in September, including AI versions of Breaking Bad’s Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. The Source reported that the fan-made edits were circulating on TikTok and Instagram when Quavo reposted his and Takeoff’s original COLORS performance on September 23.
Two voices, one hanging mic
His caption kept it short: “The Original #HotelLobby.” The June 2022 performance puts the pair together against an orange background with one hanging microphone. That staging became a template for the edits; the original still puts their own voices and chemistry front and center.
Quavo’s repost points directly to that recording. It doesn’t announce a new version or make the AI pairings official collaborations. The COLORS session is linked above.
