Mac Miller’s Divine Feminine anniversary edition adds three unreleased songs
The October 2 reissue includes “Butterflies,” with Thundercat on bass, plus a deluxe vinyl edition tied to the Mac Miller Fund.
The Divine Feminine has returned in a 10th anniversary edition with three previously unreleased songs. The Mac Miller reissue arrived October 2, expanding the original 10-song album to 13 tracks. One addition, “Butterflies,” features bass from Thundercat.
Three recordings from the original sessions
Miller’s fourth studio album explored love across different kinds of relationships. Anderson .Paak joined “Dang!”, Ty Dolla $ign appeared on “Cinderella,” Ariana Grande sang on “My Favorite Part” and Kendrick Lamar featured on “God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty.” The new edition preserves that record and adds recordings from the same sessions.
The official store also offers a deluxe three-LP package with the bonus songs, a 40-page miniature booklet and an art print. It says a portion of net proceeds will benefit the Mac Miller Fund.
The earlier official “Dang!” video with Anderson .Paak accompanies this story. It comes from the original 2016 album period. The October release adds three more recordings to that chapter, including another documented contribution from Thundercat on “Butterflies.”
