Jordan Rakei’s next album is now listed for October 30
Rakei’s official site and Apple Music list A Safe Place To Be Wild for October 30, after his label had announced a February 2027 release.
Jordan Rakei’s new single “Paradise” looks back at his childhood and the relationship with his brothers. Released September 30, it’s the third preview of A Safe Place To Be Wild, his seventh album. Rakei’s official site and Apple Music now list the record for October 30, 2026.
Brothers, early memories and an Abbey Road record
Rakei describes the song as a return to vivid early memories and the bond with his brothers that lasted through chaotic periods. It also follows those memories into adulthood, when the world starts feeling harsher and more complicated.
The new album was recorded at Abbey Road during his time as the studio’s inaugural artist in residence. Its 14-song sequence places “Paradise” sixth, following the earlier singles “Promise” and “Enemies.” “Promise” has its own long history: Rakei says he wrote parts of it more than a decade ago with Rosie Lowe before it found its place on this record.
Olive Jones will support the European and UK tour dates. The announced UK shows include Bristol Beacon, Manchester’s Albert Hall and London’s Alexandra Palace on April 24, 2027. Before that run, “Paradise” and its official video offer another piece of the upcoming album.
The September 30 Universal Music Canada announcement for “Paradise” had listed the album’s release as February 19, 2027. Rakei’s official site and current pre-order pages now say October 30, 2026, as does Apple Music’s pre-release listing. The album remains upcoming; this story was updated October 7 to reflect the current date.
