Ja Rule made a distinction after his February plane confrontation with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda: apologizing for his behavior didn’t mean making friends with G-Unit. In a TMZ interview covered by HOT 97 on February 18, he said he wasn’t looking to reconcile with 50 Cent and the crew.

An apology with a clear boundary

He had already apologized to his wife, family, fans and business partners on February 12. “I’m not proud of my behavior, it’s goofy to me,” he wrote. The statement addressed how he carried himself rather than declaring an end to the rivalry.

His later comments leave space between friendship and another public confrontation. He said the two sides don’t have to be at war, and discussed his responsibility to set an example for his sons. That makes the apology narrower than a peace agreement. The TMZ conversation below lets him draw that line himself.
