Gunna launches SB THE LABEL with three artists and Atlantic behind it
Casper Bluff, Nechie and Dracc are the first signees. Gunna takes the CEO role as “pop it” arrives on his own channel.
Gunna has announced SB THE LABEL, a new venture in partnership with Atlantic Music Group, with himself as CEO. Casper Bluff, Nechie and Dracc are its first three artists. The October 9 announcement gives his next business move a roster from the start.
A first roster, plus a new single
In his launch statement, reproduced by XXL, Gunna described the three signees as his brothers and said he wanted to begin this chapter alongside them. He framed the label as a way to expand what he can create while taking on a new role. Atlantic Music Group CEO Elliot Grainge also welcomed the partnership in a statement, pointing to Gunna’s influence on contemporary hip-hop.
The label’s own Instagram account identifies Gunna as its chief executive. That identity predates Friday’s announcement: a July 21 post already carried the caption “Chief Executive.” The new announcement supplies the partnership and first roster behind it.
Gunna also released the official “pop it” video on October 9. His verified artist links lead to the same upload on his own YouTube channel, where the description credits the recording to GUNNA MUSIC. The video runs just under three minutes and links directly to the single’s streaming destinations.
For listeners following the move, there are now two things to watch: Gunna’s own releases and the music that Casper Bluff, Nechie and Dracc put out under SB THE LABEL. The launch statement names the artists but supplies no release schedule for that first roster.
