Cypress Hill bring Alemán and Trueno into Dios Bendiga
The Spanish-language album grew out of two weeks of sessions with Eric Bobo and DJ Flict.
Cypress Hill’s Dios Bendiga puts B-Real and Sen Dog’s Spanish-language verses across 12 tracks, with guests including Mexico’s Alemán and Argentina’s Trueno. The album arrived July 24 through Zarpazo Records, part of HYBE Latin America.
New songs, a familiar connection
The group’s official announcement traces it to a two-week run of sessions the previous November. Eric Bobo served as musical director, DJ Flict shaped the production, and DJ Lord contributed scratching. Mellow Man Ace, a former founding member and Sen Dog’s brother, returns on “Campeones.”
There’s history behind the language choice. Cypress Hill released Los Grandes Exitos En Español in 1999, revisiting earlier songs with Spanish vocals. Dios Bendiga builds a new album around that connection. Alemán joins “Wacha Trucha,” Trueno appears on “Saca La Bolsita,” and “Estamos Listos” puts the core group in focus.
